About REAA Technologies
Making production-grade AI accessible to small and mid-sized businesses — free, open-source, with no vendor lock-in.
I'm Rick Somers — founder and CEO of REAA Technologies Inc. I'm a senior software architect & engineer with over 3-decades of experience, based in Las Vegas Nevada. As an early adopter of AI, I've been contracted to help develop enterprise-grade solutions for many Fortune 100 companies. Now, I've started REAA to help you on your AI journey.
In practice, that's hundreds of TypeScript packages patterned on my enterprise solutions, providing the building-blocks for any type of AI system – for free – with tutorials that tech how to use them like pieces of a puzzle to rapidly build & deploy advanced AI solutions to solve real business bottlenecks at scale. No paywalls. No gimmicks.
I'm available for when you need help with roadmapping for AI, building custom solutions, training employees & stakeholders, and performing adversarial testing of your AI systems.
Thank you for visiting, I look forward to working with you.
What we make
Two layers, both free and open. The packages are the building blocks; the solutions are step-by-step tutorials that compose those blocks into working production systems. They're the closest thing I can give you to a free engineering apprenticeship in modern AI — read them to learn the patterns, follow them to deploy yourself, or hire me to customize and run them for you.
End-to-end tutorials for real AI systems.
Each solution is a full walkthrough — scaffold, install, configure, build the modules, write the tests, run it end to end. Real production patterns: env validation, observability, budget enforcement, error handling. By the last step you have a working system you can actually deploy.
Browse solutionsHundreds of MIT-licensed TypeScript packages.
The building blocks every solution is composed from. Small, focused packages organized into eight categories — testing & security, evals & quality, observability & cost, orchestration & protocols, MCP infrastructure, reliability & ops, deployment & runtime, and domain pipelines.

Six commitments that show up in every engagement — not slogans, but operating structure.
MIT-licensed packages.
Hundreds of TypeScript packages, free to clone and run yourself. If you can use what I built without ever paying me, that's a win.
Real prices on the site.
Real numbers, real ranges. No contact-us-for-a-quote on standard engagements.
No lock-in.
Everything I deliver is yours, MIT-licensed, in your repo. Keep me, fire me, hire someone else, or take it in-house at any time.
Senior judgment, direct.
You work with someone who's done this for 30 years. No bait-and-switch to junior staff after the first conversation.
Production-ready by default.
Security, evals, monitoring, cost controls, and governance are built into the packages — not bolted on at the end.
Truth over upsell.
If a tool we already shipped solves your problem, that's the recommendation — even if it means a smaller engagement.
What we won't do
Some categories are off the table regardless of budget. Stated up-front so the first conversation can be honest.
- • Adult content, gambling, or predatory lending
- • MLM or crypto speculation
- • Projects designed to mislead or deceive end users
- • Deceptive marketing, dark patterns, or growth tactics built on user harm
The full list of declined engagement types — including testing AI agents the buyer doesn't own, NDA-before-conversation requests, and vendor bake-offs — is on the Services page.

First conversation is free, 30–45 minutes, real human, real questions.
